Tel Aviv, Israel · Lives and works in Paris

Represented by Xavier Hufkens

Nathanaëlle Herbelin is a figurative painter who turns everyday life into quiet, poetic narratives. Her subjects are people close to her and strangers, landscapes and domestic interiors, and the events of a life — birth, parenthood, loss — rendered through overlooked details in which memory, emotion and imagination meet.

She studied at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, with an exchange at The Cooper Union, New York. Her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at the Musée d’Orsay, Paris, and the He Art Museum, Shunde, and has been shown at the Collection Lambert, Avignon, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes and the Fondation d’Entreprise Ricard, Paris.
